Pelikan introduced its first transparent fountain pen to the market in 1929 and through the years, pelikan was known for its transparent barrels – convenient as a way to check ink levels. Sometime in 2019 however, with the release of the Pelikan Brown-Black, Pelikan started shifting to opaque non-see-through barrels. Although this has received much debate from the community, there is still much to love about both versions!
If you enjoy a bit of weight on your Pelis but think that the M1000 is too much, then the M800 is for you. With a striped barrel made from celluloid acetate, the second-heaviest Souverän’s internal mechanism is partially made from brass while its metal trims are gold plated. Aside from the proprietary Pelikan piston-filler mechanism, the highlight of the M800 is its 18C gold nib with partial rhodium plating.
The Pelikan M800 Green Stripe is a popular design and is among the roster of Stresemann pens favored by the brand’s fans. We have a pre-owned unit for sale, produced before the shift into opaque barrels, that carries an F nib. It has very minimal micro scratches and is in good working condition. We’re offering only the pen, no box or papers.
