Pelikan M600 Tortoiseshell Black

The Pelikan M605 Tortoiseshell Black generated a bit of a buzz back when it was launched in 2022, and with good reason. Aside from it being both new and familiar (it felt like the classic Anthracite Stresemann), it was beautifully designed and well-made. 

A tortoiseshell effect is rarely seen in cool colors, and this pen succeeds in its execution. A blend of blues and grays gives the barrel a pearlescent illusion. The black stripes, which beautifully bounce light at the right angle, interestingly break the raden-like swirls but also offer an organic feel. To match, the pen is finished with a 14C-585, rhodium-plated gold nib.
