The third release of Pelikan’s popular Art Collection, the M600 Georg Tippel was inspired by Tippel’s 1899 poster “Grundfarben”, which translates directly to “Primary Colors”. It features a pelikan mother caring for her three chicks painted blue, red, and yellow—thus, the work’s title.
Interestingly, however, Pelikan chose to feature the clouds in the background stencilled in brown against light blue. This resulted in a fountain pen barrel designed with a continuous guilloché pattern in several shades of sepia and amber, combined with a translucent warm brown cap, section, and piston knob for a rich, vintage vibe.
We have for sale a brand-new Pelikan M600 Art Collection Georg Tippel fountain pen released in May 2026. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
