“Achat” is “agate” in German, which means that “apricot achat” is “apricot agate”. Usually found in Botswana, apricot agate is formed in vesicles within lava and becomes layered through the years as the spaces are filled with silica-rich water. This, and the iron content in the environment, results in a gemstone with a beautiful, peachy-white color that has a fresh and youthful vibe.
