Kacho-ga is a sub-genre of ukiyo-e featuring birds and flowers. It is very popular during the Edo period, with artists such as Hokusai creating many pieces. Parrots playing among peach tree branches is a common theme that depicts the vibrant against the dainty, with parrots representing rarity, fidelity, and loyalty, and peaches representing longevity and protection.

The Namiki Yukari Royale Parrot with Peach features this theme in Togidashi-Taka Maki-e (burnished raised maki-e), a laborious blend of techniques that creates an ethereal, three-dimensional effect. It features a No. 20 18-karat gold nib and is signed by the artisan Masaru.

We have for sale a brand-new Namiki Yukari Royale Parrot with Peach with an F nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
