The bush warbler (uguisu) perched on a Japanese apricot tree has inspired art for centuries. The tree flowers in late winter, and the uguisu singing through its blossoms heralds spring, offering an image of renewal and fidelity.
This scene is interpreted by the artisan group Kokkokai on the Namiki Yukari Apricot Tree and Brush Warbler fountain pen. It features the intricate Togidashi-Hira Maki-e (Burnished-Flat Maki-e) technique with a beautiful blend of green, red, white, and gold against a polished back background. It carries a No. 10, 18-karat gold nib.
We have for sale a brand-new Namiki Yukari Apricot Tree and Bush Warbler fountain pen, complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
