The humble goldfish, or “kingyo”, is often featured in traditional Japanese art and in many cultural celebrations. It’s considered a symbol of good fortune, and its hints of red is said to help ward off evil. Kingyo-sukui, or “goldfish scooping”, is also a popular game among children during festivals.
The rich history of the goldfish is celebrated in Namiki’s Nippon Art collection. The Namiki Nippon Art Origami Goldfish fountain pen is one of five designs that honor the art of paper folding through Hira Maki-e.
We have for sale a brand-new pen with a No. 10 14-karat gold nib F. It comes complete with its box, papers, and converter.
