German novelist Thomas Mann is known for his works “The Magic Mountain” and “Death in Venice”. His prose is rhythmic and full of imagery, with an undertone of irony that allows him to critique financial and intellectual vanity. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1929 primarily for “Buddenbrooks”, his first novel written when he was only 22 and published when he was 25.
In honor of his works, Montblanc released the Writers Edition Thomas Mann fountain pen crafted in precious black resin and fitted with platinum-plated trims. It features a geometric and overlapping Art Deco pattern that is a nod to his leitmotif technique. Its shape was inspired by Montblanc’s early safety pens released shortly after WWI, during which the author wrote “The Magic Mountain”. The nib features a detailed engraving of the Buddenbrook house from his award-winning work.
For sale is a brand-new Montblanc Writers Edition Thomas Mann fountain pen, no box, papers, or other inclusions.
