Montblanc Writers Edition Carlo Collodi 3-Piece Set (FP/RB/MP)

Italian Carlo Collodi was many things – a Tuscan Army volunteer, a journalist, a political critic – but what he was most known for was being a children’s literature author. He wrote “The Adventures of Pinocchio” in the late 1800s, a fantasy novel about a marionette and his journey to learn what it means to be a real boy. The story was animated by Disney in the 1940s and has been translated into 260 languages. It remains one of the most famous and well-loved literary classics of all time.

The Montblanc Writers Edition Carlo Collodi set, which includes a fountain pen, a ballpoint pen, and a mechanical pencil, takes inspiration from “The Adventures of Pinocchio”. The dark brown precious resin barrel represents the wood from which Pinnochio was made. The gold-plated cap features intricate engravings of scenes from the story, complemented by a clip shaped like Pinocchio’s famous nose. The striped cone represents the screws that hold the marionette up.

The fountain pen is finished with an 18-karat gold nib is designed with Cricket, his talking insect companion.
