Montblanc Patron of Art Albert
₱235,000.00

Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, was a known supporter of art and philosophy. He believed that creativity was required to uplift society, and spent many years organizing and cataloguing art and music.  He was also one of the first royals who supported photography – in fact, he and Victoria became the first patrons of the Photographic Society of London. His biggest achievement, however, was setting up the Grand Exhibition, which aimed to highlight the importance of design in manufacturing.

In honor of his contributions to art, music, and industry, Montblanc released the Patron of Art Homage to Albert in 2022, together with a Queen Victoria iteration. The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Albert features a lacquered barrel in pearl white and a patterned cap in burgundy. The trims are gold-plated, and the clip is reminiscent of Queen Victoria’s scepter. The cap top is inspired by the dome of the Crystal Palace, which housed the Great Exhibition of 1851. The cap ring is engraved with “treu und fest” (“loyal and sure”), which is Prince Albert’s personal motto, and the words of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The 18-karat gold nib is decorated with the coat of arms of Saxony.

We have for sale a brand-new Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Albert fountain pen with an F nib. It comes sealed and complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.

Length capped: 14.53 cm.
