Known for her eyes that were so blue they seemed violet, Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beloved British-American actresses from the ‘40s until the ‘60s. She starred in many films, debuting with a minor role in “There’s One Born Every Minute”, and years later, finding acclaim in “Butterfield 8” and her most famous titular role, “Cleopatra”. Out of the limelight, she was also one of the first celebrities to support HIV/AIDs patients. In 1985, she co-founded the American Foundation for AIDS Research, followed by the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation in 1991.
Honoring this silver screen legend, Montblanc released the Muses Elizabeth Taylor fountain pen, featuring a patterned blue-violet body inspired by her eyes, contrasted by platinum-plated trims. This cigar-shaped pen has a cone-shaped barrel end, adorned with a design typically seen in jewelry in the 1950s. The ring on the cap is also inspired by the actress’s love for accessories.
We have for sale a brand-new Montblanc Muses Elizabeth Taylor fountain pen with a 14-karat, rhodium-plated gold nib (Au 585) in F, etched with her philosophy, “long live love”. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
