Montblanc Great Characters John Lennon Limited Edition 1940 Rollerball

John Lennon was the co-founder of The Beatles, the world’s most successful, influential, and best-selling music act. The band revolutionized music and production through sound experimentation and innovation, globally influencing culture and fashion for decades.

Lennon was known for his masterful compositions. Many consider “Strawberry Fields” his best work with the band, and when he went solo, his critically acclaimed song “Imagine” became a social commentary and an anthem for peace. An activist in his later years, he protested the war in Vietnam, leading to constant FBI surveillance when he lived in the U.S. His life was cut short when he was shot by an obsessed fan in December of 1980.

In his honor, Montblanc released the Great Characters John Lennon Limited Edition 1940 rollerball pen. It features a body in sterling silver and translucent white lacquer, with a pattern mimicking lines on a vinyl record. The platinum-plated clip adorned with tanzanite is shaped like a guitar neck, complete with pegs, strings, and frets, which points to the musician’s portrait on the cap and barrel.
