A cultural icon, American actor James Dean established himself as a symbol of youthful rebellion in the 1950s. His promising career was cut short by a tragic car accident at age 24, and the suddenness of his death made such an immense impact on the public’s psyche that it turned him into a legend, with many considering him the embodiment of America’s Golden Age. 

In honor of his short but influential life, Montblanc released the Great Characters James Dean Special Edition set, which includes a ballpoint pen. The red cap and body were inspired by the jacket he wore in “Rebel Without a Cause”, contrasted by chrome fittings that offer the vibe of the ‘50s.
