Enzo Ferrari was a race car driver, an entrepreneur, and the founder of Scuderia Ferrari, which has evolved into the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari. He has many nicknames, including l'Ingegnere ("The Engineer") and il Mago ("the Wizard"), all earned due to his unrelenting drive and determination to develop cars that could win against the best. While his management style led to many controversies, his brand endured and is now known for high-performance supercars and sports cars with its own historic Formula 1 team.
He is the inspiration for the Montblanc Great Characters Enzo Ferrari Special Edition Giallo Modena. Giallo Moderna is Ferrari’s signature triple yellow paint, which is also the colour of the famous Scuderia logo with the rearing horse. The barrel end features The Engineer’s birth and the date of his first race. His signature and the name of his father’s workshop are engraved near the finial, which is crowned with the Montblanc emblem, backgrounded with blue precious resin. Engraved on the ruthenium-plated clip is his famous quote, “You cannot describe passion, you can only live it.” The Au 585, ruthenium-coated gold nib has “Pilota”, one of his many nicknames, and the steering wheel of the 250 GTO.
