Montblanc Great Characters Edition John F. Kennedy

After his untimely death, John F. Kennedy’s wife, Jacqueline, told Life Magazine in an interview that his presidency was a “brief, shining moment that was known as Camelot.” A shocked and grieving nation latched on to this imagery because while JFK was not without controversy, he did inspire hope. He and his wife made the arts a big part of the White House by inviting artists and intellectuals alike, and encouraging the study of music among the youth. His dreams of exploring space instilled optimism and fostered curiosity about the unknown. Despite many hard issues such as social unrest and the Cuban Missile Crisis, his era remained a glittering ideal of what a presidency should be. 

In honor of his achievements, Montblanc released the Great Characters Homage to John F. Kennedy Special Edition pen. The shape and the chrome sections were made in reference to his dedication to the Apollo space program. Touching on his personal life, three platinum-plated cap rings were included to represent his three brothers. The clip is etched with his initials.
