Montblanc 162 Platinum Trim Rollerball

Introduced in 1924, the Meisterstück has become Montblanc’s most recognizable writing instrument, celebrated for its timeless design and signature black-and-metal aesthetic. The LeGrand, commonly known as the 162 in its rollerball version, carries this heritage in a larger and more substantial format than the Classique. 

Its cap and barrel are crafted from polished black precious resin, complemented by platinum-coated fittings that give the pen a refined, understated appearance. Three platinum-coated rings encircle the cap, with the central ring featuring Montblanc lettering, while the iconic white Montblanc emblem crowns the top. The platinum-coated clip also carries an individual serial number. 

Compared with the traditional gold-coated Meisterstück, the platinum-coated version offers a cooler and more contemporary appearance while retaining the same recognizable design. As a LeGrand Rollerball, it uses Montblanc’s dedicated LeGrand refill, combining smooth and consistent writing with the substantial proportions of the Meisterstück collection.
