The Montblanc 146 goes back to the late 1940s and early 1950s, and was part of the old Meisterstück line up that included the 149, the 144, and the 142. While it’s a notch below the 149, it’s still flagship-worthy both then and now.
The 146 offers the convenience of a piston filler without having you shelling out too much for what’s top of the line. This pen is, in so many ways, just right—while it's far from being the smallest pen in the line, it’s neither oversized nor too heavy, with the signature Meisterstuck cigar shape that balances well in one’s hand whether posted or not. Beneath the cap is a reliable two-toned gold nib that has excellent flow, promising to elevate your writing experience.
We have for sale a Montblanc 146 with platinum trims and an F nib. It comes complete with its box, papers, and other inclusions.
Length capped: 14.5 cm.
Length uncapped: 12.6 cm.
