Often accompanied by his cheerful octopus best friend Sayuri, Hangyodon has grown from one of Sanrio’s quirkier characters into a fan favorite with an unmistakable aquatic blue identity. 

The LAMY Safari x Sanrio Hangyodon Special Edition brings that playful personality to one of modern pen design’s most recognizable silhouettes. The Safari itself has been a LAMY icon since its introduction in 1980, known for its sturdy construction, ergonomic grip, ink-view window, and distinctive spring-loaded clip. Here, its practical Bauhaus-influenced design is transformed with Hangyodon’s signature blue palette and character-themed details. 

A blue body and matching clip give the pen an immediately aquatic character, while the contrasting black stainless steel nib adds a sharper finishing touch. Beneath the collaboration design, it remains unmistakably Safari: lightweight, durable, comfortable to hold, and designed for both cartridge and converter use.
