Graf von Faber Castell Guilloche Viper Green

Guilloché is a centuries-old decorative technique in which intricate patterns of fine engraved lines are worked into a surface, historically appearing on precious watches, jewelry, and celebrated objects such as Fabergé eggs. Graf von Faber-Castell brings that traditional jeweler’s craft into its Guilloche collection, engraving the precious-resin surface line by line before refining it through manual lacquering and polishing. 

Viper Green gives that classical technique a much bolder personality. Introduced by Graf von Faber-Castell as one of its vivid statement colors alongside Gulf Blue and India Red, the brilliant green also draws on the world of classic motor-racing colors. Light catches the engraved surface differently across the barrel and cap, allowing the vibrant green to shift in character as the pen moves. 

Against that energetic finish, rhodium-plated metal parts provide a cool, polished contrast. The solid spring-loaded clip adds a substantial finishing detail, while the handmade 18-karat gold nib is completely rhodium-plated and individually run in by hand, bringing traditional craftsmanship from the exterior all the way to the writing point.
