Aurora Internazionale LE 919 Blue

Aurora was founded in Turin in 1919 as Italy’s first fountain pen manufacturer, beginning a history that would become closely intertwined with the development of Italian writing instruments. As the company approached its centenary, it returned to its archives for the Internazionale collection, reviving the character of one of its historic best-selling designs and reinterpreting it for a new generation of collectors. 

The Internazionale Blue combines that vintage inspiration with one of Aurora’s most recognizable materials: richly marbled blue Auroloide. Flecks and streaks of lighter color move through the deep blue cap and barrel, giving the surface a sense of depth that changes under the light. Black resin components provide contrast, while gold-finished and vermeil details recall the decorative character of Aurora’s early writing instruments. 

Vintage-inspired ornamentation continues through the jewel-like clip and traditional ring details, while the cap top carries the individual serial number of the pen. Aurora produced only 919 numbered pieces, a deliberate reference to 1919, the year the company was founded. 

At the writing end is an 18-karat solid gold nib, paired with Aurora’s piston-filling system and distinctive reserve tank. The result is a pen that brings together the visual language of Aurora’s early history with the filling technology and craftsmanship associated with its modern fountain pens.
