The Montblanc 146 has had many transformations since it was first released in the 1950s. One of the more prominent changes is the nib, which went from a bi-color 14C, to a mono-color yellow-gold 14K, to the more familiar bi-color 14K that started from the early ‘90s and continues today.
Another is the color. While the 146 started with a black body, it did had a burgundy release some time in the ‘80s that was discontinued in the early 2000s. Since there continues to be a demand for it, it was recently re-released, much to the excitement of many Meisterstück fans.
What we have for sale is not the re-release, but an older, new-old-stock version of the Montblanc 146 Burgundy with a 14K nib in EF, which dates it back to the 1990s. It comes with its complete set of box, papers, and other inclusions.
